Redistribute connected route-map issue

Hi Experts,

While practicing some vendor labs I came across fllowing issue several
times would like to get your opening on this. Task ask to configure the
topology as follows and then mutually redistribute between OSPF & RIP.

R1-----R2 Running RIP
R2-----R3 Running OSPF
R2 Loopback is redistributed in to RIP with a route-map

Topology -> R1--------R2------------R3

As we know there is a problem with this design with the redistribution of
route-map. R3 will not see the R2's Loopback address & R1 wont see link
between R2-R3.

My questions are

1. if task is not specify anything else for us to do (Just ask mutual
redistribution) Should we fix this in order to get the connectivity to all
the subnets?
2. My method of fixing this would be edit the route-map to allow link
between R2-R3 & Redisctribute connected inside OSPF on R2
3. If I use the step 2 I will be breaking the task as i am redistributing
all interfaces in to OSPF where in the task there is no mention about
redistributing OSPF including interfaces running rip.
4. Is there any other methods we can use to accomplish this task
