Re-reading the command reference of 12.4 I see this:
The maximum-paths eibgp command is used to configure BGP multipath load
sharing in a Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) Virtual Private Network
(VPN) using eBGP and iBGP routes. This command is configured under a VRF in
address family configuration mode. The number of multipaths is configured
separately for each VRF.

This therefore looks like the wrong command for me.

My target (if possible), is to obtain more paths (ibgp but also ebgp) for a
specific prefix (or for all prefixes). This w/o load-balancing.. I just
need to see them installed in the bgp table as available paths.
Is it possible?
