spanning-tree forward timer

hello,

I just need this clarification:

If I'm asked to set up that a new port should wait 10 seconds for
transitioning to a forward state, what value should I set up here?

spanning-tree vlan 1-x forward-time 10 or 5?

I don't understand if the value is simply the amount of seconds the
interface will wait before going in forwarding state or if it is the amount
how seconds assigned to learning + listening state..
