Hi,
Looking at the breakout switch config fragment posted, l2protocol
tunnelling was enabled only on the real switch facing interface (fa0/9)
anyway with nothing on fa0/48, so possible CDP/VTP/STP frames are being
encapsulated from SW2 Fa0/6 but not doing anything useful since there's no
other end to attempt to encap/de-encap those frames.
L2protocol tunnelling through the breakout switch wont do anything for
Nadeem anyway (platform limitation) but it would be quite helpful if it
worked to enable his routers to see the "real switches" via STP/CDP as
directly adjacent devices for some labs. The 3550/3560 don't support
l2protocol tunelling on trunk interfaces (Fa0/48 facing the dynamips box)
but I believe the 3750 does.
Cheers.
