Strangely mine is different.... reload ? shows nothing (only carriage
return)

That would be "reload at X" for IOS XR.
Here is the snippet:

RP/0/RP0/CPU0:CCIE#reload ?
 * at Reload this node at specified time*
  cancel Cancel the scheduled reload for this node
  force Force the reload without doing any cleanup
