for what I can remember :
B if you use a microsoft-based client, client-id is basically 01 followed by
MAC address (if mac @ is aaaa.aaaa.aaaa then your client-id should be
01aa.aaaa.aaaa.aa)
B you can use the command "ip address dhcp client-id FastEthernet x/x" if you
want to have the same behaviour with a Cisco router as a client
B I think you can force the client id if you want (something like "ip dhcp
client client-id ascii"...to be verified)
B
otherwise, "debug ip dhcp server packet" or "sh ip dhcp binding" should give
it to you
