you mean if i say :

ROUTER(config)#event manager applet ABCD

ROUTER(config-applet)# event syslog pattern "Interface GigabitEthernet0/0,
changed state to down" " Interface GigabitEthernet0/1, changed state to
down"

it will look for both events ?
