Welcome to analog telephony :)

First part, you need to let your FXO know that it does not have to give
dialtone, and go into one phase dialing. That would be
direct-inward-dial command.

The second part is more fun. Your gateway has currently no way to know
that you hung up, so it rings forever. Nasty problem.
You need to "supervise" the call (detect when it is cleared"), by
enabling the detection of a cleared indication tone from the CO.
(If you are lucky and you have one).
