Re: metro vlan on provider switch (802.1q tunnel)

AFAIK, bcoz we use asymmetric trunk link between SP and customer, SP switch port does not involve in customer's spanning tree. And it doesn't care the VID that customer is using. It will tag all customer tagged frame with its port's VID.
