Good Morning Marc,

" If the question says
the server has to be primary root for all the vlan what is the range I have
to choose? Is it 1-4094? or 1-1005?"

I'm not sure which workbook that you have or where you get the
question from but important is to understand the concept and/or
technology first.

To me I am interpreting this as an actual server that could be root
for all the vlans, then in this case, I would configure spanning-tree
higher on the switch than what port the server is connected to.
Perhaps there is a switch inside the server.

Do you have a network diagram that you can draw out along with configurations?

Also subject is VTP Server and Transparent.
"the server has to be primary root for all the vlan what is the range I have
to choose"

Again, due to lack of information this could also be interpreted as
making the switch root for all vlans, could be a Spanning-tree
question.

Please be more specific in your question and please post diagram along
with configs, so that we can better learn and understand what you are
asking.

Regards,
John
