First why will be there need of fall back to traditional protocols, system
failure then Cloud computing has made it pretty rock with HA and other stuff.
With SDN i can write a script with even a CCNP level of knowledge, i can make
network work.
The question that keeps creeping up the need of ccie level of knowledge if
most of the complexity will be hidden by the software.

Thanks

I still think things will fall back on traditional protocols. What happens
when there is a failure on controller? The practices taken to to traffic
prioritization, path modification, dynamic discovery won't evaporate. You
can't ignore the potential and yes a network engineer's role will change but
it cout have a positive spin...

It seems cisco is jumping the bandwagon of SDN. But What the future hold for

CCIE candidates ? Is it time to think about moving to software side ?
