 Never base your career on what someone else is saying. Base it on what
 you like and what you are good at.
 Yes, there are changes coming with Openflow but it won't be used by
 everyone. If Cisco or other vendors
 feel threatened enough they will also start to look into it. I have at
 least 30 years ahead of me in the networking
 industry and I'm sure I'll be needed even in 30 years. Maybe not doing
 exactly the same thing as now but still working
 in networking.

 Remember that also someone has to design the network. Don't worry too
 much what everyone else is saying. You will still be needed
 in RS for many years to come. Last week I heard that Voice is going out
 of fashion and people shouldn't study that either.
