Tracking a default route

Guys,

I have a question surrounding tracking a default route. Scenario states to
configure MHSRP between two routers. Each group will have its active router
selected by highest priority. The both groups should track the availability
of a default route.

Now this sounds like the setup will use track command. However, when you
setup the track command for reachability of default route. It always states
that the route is down?

Is there another feature or command to do this. IP SLA doesn't allow for
default route?
