Get a load balancer pal... Microsoft NLB is the worst technology EVER invented...

Start with a free trial of citix netscaler www.citrix.com

Make your cheap boss buy you a netscaler when the 30 days trial expires...

Subject: Cisco configuration with Microsoft NLB

i have two blade chassis A and B, each one connected to two N7 A and B by L2 portchannel.
Both A+B N7 in same VDC connected to the core switches 6509 A + B by two L2 portchannel note that core not VSS.

I tried no connect Microsoft NLB between two servers maped at chassis A and Chassis B and it is working fine.

TO make all other vlans reachable i creat ARP at core for NLB and it work fine.

The problem that when ever i tried to map 03:bf....... at blade and N7 wich by the way didnot accept mac map to with the normal comand so i used mac address-table multicast 03BF.XXXX.ZZZZ vlan YY interface port-channel x and mac address-table multicast 03BF.XXXX.ZZZZ vlan YY interface port-channel x core but it is not working.

how can i minimize broadcast of NLB traffic for such scenario ????

Blade A -----PO L2-------(N7A + B)-----PO L2-----6509 L3 (A + B) Blade B -----PO L2-------(N7A + B)-----PO L2-----6509 L3 (A + B)
