Precedence is agnostic. It is not implemented differently in IPv6 and was
not created specifically for IPv4.
Actually it was used for AUTOVON systems in the Military long before it was
a IP networking concept.
I remember a button on my phone that said "ROUTINE" but the General had a
"PRIORITY" as well as "ROUTINE" button. The second he pushed the "PRIORITY"
button while I was on the phone, he seized the trunk. Now talk about
priority!!!
