RE: OT: Recertification Question

I recall reading somewhere that CCIE doesn't expire until 3 years, and that
after 2 years CCIE goes into a suspended state where you can't use your
number with any companys/employeers to retain partnership levels with cisco.

Perhaps someone can confirm or deny what I recall reading
