The first written you pass after March 2011 takes you to March 2015. The first written you pass after March 2013 takes you to March 2017 etc.

In answer to your question, yes, the exam you took in Jan would move your recertification date to March 2015.

Hey Guys,

Quick question.

My CCIE is due to recertify on March 2013, I took a written July 15,
2010 and recently Jan 16, 2012. Do you know if the recertification
date will move to 2015 or do I need to take a written closer to March
2013?
