For L3 VPN across AS, you might want to look at the book "BGP Design and
Implementation" by Randy Zhang. In chapter 10 it has a section about L3
VPN Across AS Borders. I haven't read it but came across it. If you have a
safari account you should be able to access it through that or use the good
old physical book made out of paper :)
