Ugh, I found the problem.....on the ma (mapping agent) router I wasn't
advertising its loopback 0 interface in ospf. That loopback was the source
ip used for the ip pim send-rp-discovery messages

Subject: pim hello option 65004 ?

Anybody know what option 65004 is ? I see it when debugging pim hellos

*Dec 29 15:38:12.945: PIM(0): Ignored unknown option 65004 in PIM Hello
packet

also, I'm doing auto-rp lab test right now and for some reason am unable to
see the group-to-rp mappings on routers that are downstream from rp and ma
and those downstream routers are across frame relay. Is there something in
frame relay causing this auto-rp mapping agent group-to-rp table to not be
getting to those other routers?
