Hi Stephen,

I agree with Lindsay here.

Compared to other vendors out there the mock labs cost more but as far as I
can tell, particularly for the troubleshooting component at this point in
time they represent the closest approximation to the real lab environment
that you can get. I recently wrote about my experiences using one of the
mock labs which is here -
http://noshut.blogspot.com/2011/11/cisco-360-assessment-lab-review.html if
that helps you decide if the cost is worth paying to do any of these labs.
As Lindsay and Steve say; there are different Cisco 360 partners out there
that may be able to help with bundles to reduce the actual cost, and they
may take CLCs which you may have as a Cisco partner.

If you're used to dealing with a particular vendor for technology and
study, I think an alternate view (and physical topology) by doing a mock
lab with a different vendor (and it doesn't have to be 360 based, there are
other training vendors out there with good products) can be beneficial so
you don't get to the habit of thinking that Rx S0/0 is always connected to
Ry s0/0, which ports the 3560s are cross-linked with and what DLCIs between
routers the FR Switch uses and to have questions/instructions given to you
in a slightly different manner which should help you be ready to interpret
what the questions/tasks require of you. All I will say is any mock lab
from any vendor appears to be considerably less than $US1500 + taxes (if
applicable), and potentially flights, hotels and meals (if you don't live
in a city with a testing centre). How many mock labs (if any). a student
uses is up to them to know best where their weaknesses may be, scheduling
ability and available financial resources.

Cheers,
Adam
