It all started in 2008, after giving three attempts of R&S. In 2010, I
decided to go for CCIE SP and I failed again. Since I have lot of
XR/SP experience, i decided to go for the new track. Thanks to Cisco
for releasing the sample lab. I build sample lab topology in IOU and
practiced Narbik's MPLS/BGP/OSPF & IPv6 technology labs , I build on
those labs and added my own scenarios based on the blue print and I
attended INE's Online ATC class Which was great. Thanks to Brian-INE.
I also used Brian's topology and practiced option L3VPN's-A,B,C, CSC
and MVPN's.
I did a beta testing for Brian's INE rack, which was helpful. For
people who are interested in SPv3, Look at the sample lab, that's
your best resource at this point of time. Know your blue print.
On The lab Day
I arrived late for the lab, almost 30 minutes, the lab is lengthy but
if you know the blueprint its not tough. I was able to finish my lab
in 6-7 hrs (with verification)
At last guys, INE is coming up with SP workbooks and rack. Its all
good. It took me three years and many attempts to get this number but
trust me don't loose hope. I started preparing with guys who have
numbers like 19k and 20k something and my number is 31549 but you know
what the feeling of hard work is all what matters. I definitely
believe that preparing for CCIE makes you a better engineer.
All the best
