Hi All,
I have attended the MPLS Bootcamp in Warsaw (Poland) with Paul Negron and
would highly recommend it for anyone who is willing to go into a better
understanding of MPLS technologies. This is not an advertisement of one
vendor over another by any means, I have attended other vendors trainings
and still find them to be great. However, the level of knowledge that Paul
posseses in this area not only as an instructor but also the long years of
consultancy to major providers in the US has added real value to the
training. Whenever we are testing a feature, he will directly give us real
life examples of where it has been used.
Topics ranging from LDP, MP-BGP, RSVP, MPLS VPNs, TE (Static, Dynamic,
FRR), Pseudo wires..etc are explained in great detail. Plus there is an
excellent workbook you get which provides labs on additional topics such as
Multicast VPNs, ISIS..etc Another thing I really l liked is that we get to
sniff all the protocols and watch their behavior & that really got our
understanding to another level..Sniff Sniff & keep sniffing until you get
how the protocol works. All the possibilities of routing protocols between
(CE--PE) were tested from RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP, and yes there is a
cool lab on Sham Links..Paul has answered all of the questions in a step by
step not only about the topics in question, but also regarding any other
topic we wanted to know about, and the step by step approach he takes is
awesome. Ohh and one thing I really liked, there is no slides, everything
is explained on the whiteboard before we lab up & get additional questions!
The amount of work that has been put in this BC is phenomenal, the
workbook, the explanations..
I would highly recommend the BC for anyone who has the interest in learning
more about MPLS!
