Hey Marc! I think this really depends on your lab but both of your
solutions seem ok to me. I actually just did a lab where two routers that
were on different subnets needed to form an OSPF adjacency. The solution in
this particular instance was to move the interface IP's to loopbacks and
use IP unnumbered on the physical interfaces. Good stuff!
