R&S Lab date;

Dears,

I had my first attempt for CCIE R&S on Jan 5, 2011 in Dubai.
Cisco says one should make his/her next attempt for the lab exam within 12
months after attempting. There are no available dates before Feb, 2012 in
Dubai and India, Does it mean i should re-take my written? Can i do my
written before 12 months of my first attempt to the Lab?
