Speed of serial WIC / HWIC depends on cable type ....

WIC-1T ..... as far as my memory goes .... dont have a smart serial
interface .... its a standard serial interface .

Check out in data sheet for cable types supported ..
If you are using a RS 232 DTE/DCE combination ; you will fall way below of
what you are expecting ..

Check cable types and speeds supported .
