dCEF is only available in platforms/architectures that support
distributed switching, i.e., line card switch processors.

When you enable it (enabled by default on most ?) a line card may
switch between ports w/o sending each packet (headers) to the sup.

In 6500, this requires special line cards dCEF capable.
CEF table is replicatd to all dCEF able cards to enable this.

I do not know reasons to disable this...
