Hi,

The only benefit is, in case your voice vlan and access vlan are same, and
you do not want to trust DSCP for whatever reason and do not want to remark
yourself by service-policy, but rather still trust Cisco Phone, than you can
trust CoS bits in dot1q header.

By the way, I believe it's default behavior.
