I honestly couldn't stand Wildcat, mostly because they ALL LOOKED THE SAME. Most cat ops couldn't be bothered to customize their BBS's to save their lives.

I started out as a Renegade sysop, earned my way up to Alpha status, and then turned traitor and jumped back to Telegard after it's revival (at leas that's what they said about me.... I just *really* needed JAM/Squish support).

I remember Celerity quite well. And OBV/2. And the joke/security nightmare that was Iniquity. The rise of MajorBBS, due largely in popularity to MajorMUD.

InterBBS BRE and FE, Exitilus and the frustration it's data corrupting bugs brought. Scores of drama over who on the BBS had TEDIT access and was actually playing TW2002. Getting to know my users through the chat ability of HSLink as they pimped my drive with whatever cool stuff they had laying around while they simultaneously raped my own archives.

And, of course, getting my first *real* introduction to politics at it's basic level thanks to the FidoNet.
