I woll try to answer you, after google it...So check it twice.
Seems there's some keys for this behaviour at Cat 6500. This behaviour
started to fix a misfunction at 65k because it was unable to see multicast
traffic.
Origin:
- Basically it used to appers after third party element is introduced or
connected to Catalyst. For instance, a 720 supervisor or a Firewall module.
Please note you couldn't expect the same behaviour from modular Catalyst
than a compact one.
