Just curious, what was the driving factor in your choice to put Linux on top
of VMWare? You can run Linux and run VMWare on top of it, which would allow
you to virtualize any servers you need, while still putting GNS3 more or
less on "bare irons" since Linux would be. In my mind, the performance
requirement is more pressing with GNS3 than it is any virtual server you'd
run, for the most part. .
