Subject: OSPF auto-reference bw for loopback links

Hi guys,

I have found something interesting when manipulating the OSPF cost using
'auto-reference bandwidth' in that the cost of any directly connected
loopback interfaces does not change (show ip ospf int loop0).

Does this have something to do with the fact that the link is loopback or
stub network directly connected to the router and therefore the cost doesn't
change? Modifying the cost has to be done manually.

Any insight greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

-Aaron.
