How many people are building new big expensive networks in a depression?

How many US banks are just "keeping what they have running"?

How many new global players that are building new networks are using Juniper?

Look around these days - its mostly professional services firms hiring CCIE's - and who wants to work for them LOL

I came across this interesting link, I was wondering how or why the CCIE
RnS count could go down by almost 1k in less than a year? The actual figure
might be even higher than 2k (if you look at the nice math at the end of
that link <wink> )

Was the recession so tough that people could not afford for the written exam
fees and few hours of study to renew their cert?
