Yes you can: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/switches/ps5718/ps708/white_paper_c11_493718.html#wp9000235 If you don't already have MPLS as a transport then you could also run L2TPv3, which is L2VPN over IP instead of L2VPN over MPLS (AToM/VPLS).
