Hello Experts,
I am working on an issue and like to take an expert advice, Cisco ME3400
have two trunks Gi0/1 trunk port connected to DSLAM and Gi0/2 connected to
network (Layer2).
we seems to have a loop somewhere on the network, problem appears and
disappears itself, dslam have dsl ports connected to CPE and trunk port
(network port) connected to ME3400, cpe mac is appearing on the trunk port
of the dslam and also cpe ports on the back of the dslam
( it should appear only on cpe port not trunk port), the way this dslam
works if it find a mac conflict on trunk and cpe ports it ignore the update
from the cpe port and create entry for the trunk port because it has high
priority which cannot be change. I am wondering what are the option to block
these mac on ME3400 on Gi 0/2 so they never appear on the DSLAM trunk port,
one option is mac ACL, I know its masking the problem rather than fixing it,
we are trying to find the issue so in the mean while if we just mask the
issue it will avoid disruption on the services.
Thanks in advance
Asim
