I own the 17" MacBook Pro, being a consultant I found it gave me the best package as a mobile office and I don't think it's heavy to carry around. I do appreciate the aluminum casing for durability and style!! I have a Time Capsule at home for wireless backups... Other then that I use iTerm and VMware fusion for Visio and other Windows app. I did run into issues with Parallel that pushed me towards fusion but that 3 years ago... I paid for the 8GB RAM and 500GB SSD and it was worth it!!!
I would never go back now that I went Mac!!
