counters not available on policy-map

Hi GS,

I am getting "counters not available (install failure)" on show policy-map
interface Gigx/x

GigabitEthernet8/24

 Service-policy input: ABC-MARKING-POLICY

   class-map: ABC-MARKING-VOICE (match-all)
     Match: access-group name ABC-MARKING-VOICE
     police :
       400000 bps 8000 limit 8000 extended limit
     *counters not available (install failure)*

Can anyone please tell me what could be the issue, will this be effecting my
existing traffic, is policy properly getting applied.
