This brings me to another question:
How much do you read into the restrictions in the lab? To give 2 examples:
* If you are not allowed to use static routes. Is "ipv6 address
autoconfig default" still allowed due to the creation of the
static route?
* Prevent switch from becoming root without changing priority. Using
uplinkfast will change the priority, is this allowed?
There are several other examples I can think of. Do you adhere strictly
to the restrictions or ignore them if they are compromised indirectly. :-)
