GroupStudy issues part II

I am still having disk issues with the GroupStudy VM. The server has two disks, a primary and extra disk. I moved the VMs to the extra disk. So the only thing remaining on the primary is the OS.

The primary disk is now dead. Frankly I am amazed the VM server is still running. I guess the OS resides in memory. So the solution is to never reboot :-). Of course the data center is powering down to install a UPS. Thus the server will be powered down at 4:00 AM Sunday morning. There is a pretty good chance the server will not come back up once the UPS is restored. If that is the case, I will move the server to an Amazon EC2 instance to keep us up and running. But I am definitely open to suggestions.

Two things I need:

1. Anyone in the Atlanta area willing to act as remote hands to restore the server ( if it goes down)?

2. Any suggestions for colocation space in Northern VA? I will need 1u of rack space and enough BW for 50GB/ month.

If it does go down and you have suggestions or are willing to help, please contact me on this email address.

Take care,

Paul Borghese
