is their a implicit deny in prefix list as access-list ?:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/iproute_bgp/command/reference/irg_bgp2.html#wp1114171
"An implicit deny is applied to traffic that does not match any prefix-list
entry"
in bgp ORF how do i check if the filtering router received the prefix list
?:
you can see that ORF capability is running, but i did not find a way to see
the acutal prefix-list, but you can run the command 'show ip bgp neighbors
x.x.x.x advertised-routes' to see if they match your prefix-list, over
course you will see this on the router you sent the prefix-list from also
with normal 'show ip bgp' but that just might be the "normal" function of
the prefix-list in command on the neighbor statemen which means you still
recieved the prefixes from the neighbor and just filtered them....
you can test with 'show ip bgp neighbors x.x.x.x received-routes' after you
configure 'soft-reconfiguration inbound' to see if you actually received
them and then filtered or not..
cant i use access-list in bgp ORF as opposed to prefix list ?
only works with prefix-list from what i can see:
