3750/3560 IOS

I found today that the latest IOS (12.2(58)SE) for the 3750 and 3560
switches isn't able to be used on all hardware -

"Cisco IOS Release 12.2(58)SE and later does not support all the Catalyst
3750 and 3560 switches. The models listed below are not supported in this
release. For ongoing maintenance rebuilds for these switches, use Cisco
IOS Release 12.2(55)SE and later (SE1, SE2, and so on).

From what I can see it seems like the images are too big for the flash.
Does anyone know if these could still be loaded via tftp or is that only
possible on routers?
