Packet Capture Export and TCL/EEM Automation

Hi GS:

Was wondering if anyone could advise me on a couple of things:

1. I know most Cisco routers have a packet capture feature, but it looks
like it can only be exported live to an IP on the local LAN. Has anyone had
any luck capturing packets local on a router and then FTP'ing them to a
remote server over the WAN?

2. I'm looking for an open-source tool that can automatically log into
devices at certain times, execute a command (usually a show command), and
then capture the output. For example, if I wanted to run a command every 15
minutes for 24 hours to see when a given type of error was occurring, etc.,
Or is this possible to do via EEM or TCL?

Thanks,
