Subject: 3750 stacking

Hi

Sorry for
little off-track topic ..

I have couple of 3750 switches connected in a stack
fashion ( stack port 1
of SW1 to stack port 1 of SW2 ).
SW1 was my master and
SW2 was my slave switch .
When logged in SW1 ; I can see g1/0/1 to g1/0/24 AS
well as g2/0/1 to
g2/0/24 .. All fine ..

Now I wished to see SW2 as switch
number 4 instead of switch number 2 ..

Issued the command :
# switch 2
renumber 4
# reload 2

Once reload is successful ; I see the following :
3750-Sw#show switch
Switch/Stack Mac Address : 0024.5136.ba80

                          H/W Current
Switch# Role Mac Address Priority
Version State

2 Member 0000.0000.0000
0 0 Provisioned
*4 Master 0024.5136.ba80 1 0 Ready
Also I am seeing ports g1/0/1 - 24 , g2/0/1 - 24 AND g4/0/1 - 24

Questions
1) Both 1 and 4 are masters ? How
2) Why am i seeing the ports corresponding
to 2 ?

Thanks
