Does anyone know of a ppp option to not check the remote hostname before
bringing a ppp link up without using authentication?
Scenerio:
B B B B B B B B
B B B B B B B B B B B B B B B B
B (oc12)B B B B B B B B B B B B B B B B B B B B B B B B B (oc12)
7609A<------------------>ONS<--------------------->7609B
I'm testing mlppp density of the SPA-1XCHOC12/DS0 cards that are located in
each 7609.B I have created over 300+ bundles
on 7609A each in its own VRF.B The vrf is purely to keep things seperate
because each one of these bundles is suppose to represent a different client
site.B Again, this is a lab and wont be an issue in prod as the remote sites
will have different hostnames.
Issue:
Because the hostname on 7609B is always the same for every mlppp bundle ppp
fails to negotiate.B I can only bring up a single bundle.B The workaround is
to use authentication and define a specific hostname and
username/passwordB for each and every bundle.
Are there any CCIE ninja tricks out there that would let me bring up all these
bundles without authentication?
Thanks for your help
Mark
