Ali,
I've never used the X2 to SFP+ converter, but the twinax between SFP+ devices works just fine. For $200 list on the converter and less than that for each twinax, I would try it out. The SR optics are about 4 1/2 times as expensive for just one side. Based on the CVR-X2-SFP10G data sheet, I would give it a shot, but you might want to ask your local SE to be on the safe side.

Subject: Design Question
Dear GS,
I want to connect WS-C4900M to WS-C2960S-48TD-L
I am proposing the SFP-H10GB-CU5M=, Cisco 10GBASE-CU SFP+ cable, 5 meter (Version -02) as cable and sfp+ built in.
On the 4900 switch I use the one x converter to connect the sfp+ to it, CVR-X2-SFP10G= Does this setup work to have 10G link? Can i use 2 x SFP-10G-SR= with fiber optic cables (big difference in price)?
Your help is highly appreciated.
Warm Regards,
A.Moussaoui
