Thank you Larry.
Well, first avoid, I hear often a lot of people complaining that their work
dont support their CCIE etc bla bla.. yes, this is very true, my employer
didnt help in anything at all either, not even a few days off to study :-)
But most important that I couldnt ever make it without, it was my gf and
mother's support. They were VERY important above any cost that an employeer
could cover..
Since my employer never supported my studies nor didnt allow me to study
during work, I had to deal with a new life style.
I would basically work from 9am to 6pm, get home by 7pm, take a nap until
8pm (to feel better) , wake up , eat something, take my dog out for a walk
and study every single day from 9pm to 3am. Yes, during my final 6 months of
prep, I was only sleeping 4 to 5 hours per night, this was something that I
wanted and I knew I would have to put some effort on.
During my prep I faced different vendors (from INE to Cisco 360 and ending
up with Narbik).
I would say they are all great, but I really LOVED Narbik's methodology, he
is straightforward, he doesnt make you spend like 1 hour setting up a basic
setup for a lab in order to test a simple feature, the prep became really
AWESOME after I won his workbooks in his TS challenge he released back in
March/2010, those were very but VERY important to build the strong concepts.
2 weeks before my lab date, Janet (thank you so much Janet!!) got me a
narbik online rack where I could only concentrate on doing his tshoot
workbook fully for 10 days and honestly, this is not marketing or
advertising, but if someone has ever come up if a better TS workbook than
that one, please send me and I swear God I will re-phrase my words here, his
workbook is awesome, it taught me methodology and new way to approach/look
at stuff, sometimes I would spend more than 1 hour to fix a troubleticket
and once I got to the lab exam, things there were much more clear and
easier.
You guys from Micronics are simply the best for any CCIE-to-be :-)
Thank you again!!
Jeferson
