Hey, just to clarify, I am not implying your CPU is pegged. I have seen it
occasionally on our 6509s. Even with less that 15% CPU. Usually when it
happens it's just a matter of timing. A routing process will be updating
just at the exact moment you type your command. Or maybe there are multiple
VTYs or an SNMP call being made and so your request is just deferred. That's
all.

If anyone has had different experiences speak up please.

Usually that just means the CPU is busy at that particular moment. Don't you
know 6500s do NOT have errors? :)
