NO, I don't believe you need a CCNA to get a CCDA, just "CCNA level
knowledge":

At one point, I believe you are correct, CCNA WAS a pre-req for CCDA
(not sure when that changed).

However, if you are going for a CCDP, then you DO need both a CCNA AND a
CCDA.
