Looks like when you're injecting default route, your RP source is changing
and it's stuffing up the multicast?

Try binding RP exit interface and post your
a) IP multicast route - when it was working
b) normaly ip route table - when it was working

vs
c) when it was not working.

Compare them and see if there is any difference...
