Most of the time it doesn't take a call manager "virus" on the newer Linux RH platforms to bring the system down. Just simple things like someone changed the password the wrong way and the box needs to be RMA. Try it.

I would have had better luck recovering from an "rm -rf /*.*

Ya know... I'll say the same thing about that as I did about Cisco's
CallManager when it was on a Windoze platform....

If you stick your voice servers onto a network accessible to/from the
Internet, and don't pay attention to things like that, you deserve to
have that machine get a virus!

There are plenty of solutions out there even outside of sane network
design that will help out. So don't go using that as an excuse, it's a
stupid one. Ranks right up there with the "smart" people who believe
that Mac's don't get viruses.
