I design my networks with enough fault tolerance and resiliency so that when
that happens, I can usually point them in the direction of the vendor and
their unstable code (Like a Cisco ACE) or I blame Active Directory. ALWAYS
CYA. :)
On the RARE occasions where the liability appears to be on me or my team, I
remember my hero Ralph from "A Christmas Story" and his slew of expletives
while beating up Scott Farkus and I tell them STFU and/or to GTFO while I'm
saving the Internets.

I do not want to be rude, but what do some of you guys do, when people are
breathing down your neck while the pressure is on and you are trying to
resolve a problem, and the down time is costing your company $$$$$. Do you
tell every one to shut up? What is the CEO/CIO is standing behind you all?
The phone is ringing like crazy.........
